Les Montagnards is the result of forty years of life dedicated to the mountain world as managers of mountain huts on the most important massifs of the Italian Western Alps: Mont Blanc, Monte Rosa, Gran Paradiso and at last the Graian Alps.

Antonella and Guido, Les Montagnards, will welcome you in an early XXth century villa with a 2500 square meters park and private parking lots. The building is situated at the center of the valley, along the Paschiet stream, at the beginning of Balme village, at the crossroad of the Paschiet Valley and the main valley leading to Pian della Mussa. The environment is dominated to the north by the incumbent Ru Towers, to the east by the open view on the Val d’Ala valley, to the south by the Paschiet Valley and to the west by the boundary ridge of Uja Bessanese.

The building was renovated in full respect of the surrounding nature, with the use of environmentally sustainable and energy-saving technologies: solar thermal system for the production of hot water and heating system partially using biomasses. The new extension, which includes restaurant and kitchen with its storehouses, is classified in class A according to the modern building standards. Moreover, the same restructuring was planned and realized accordingly to the standards required by CPD, Council for People with Disabilities Onlus, ensuring the inclusion of Les Montagnards in the circuit Turismabile at its opening time.

You will find a homely atmosphere in an easily accessible structure with all comforts nowadays required. Les Montagnards is not only the Stage for GTA and Via Alpina but also a resting place for families with children, people with disabilities, and all those persons who wish to immerse themselves in the untouched nature of Balme, searching for sports and nature as well as culture and history. You will find 5 rooms, each with its own private bathroom, a lounge and restaurant fully accessible through a lifting platform reaching all floors. As usual, our guests will find a free Wi-Fi network, covering the entire hotel and part of the garden. Furthermore, in the lounge we will be setting up a free internet point especially meant for guests who walk on the mountains and travel with light rock-sacks but, nevertheless, want or need to keep themselves updated.
